The Tigers rallied from deficits three times, the last one a three-run outburst in the bottom of the ninth inning, to defeat Arkansas 6-5 in Omaha, Nebraska. Junior Jared Jones — who had homered earlier in the night — had the game-winning single. The Tigers now will take on Coastal Carolina in a best-of-three series beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday on ESPN. If Congress slashes Medicaid spending with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as it stands now, Louisiana would lose an estimated $4 billion from the state’s treasury. State Senate President Cameron Henry says if that happens, the Legislature would have to return for a special session to figure out how to cover those losses.
