Tigertail Capital Partners launches, unveils initial platform investment; Baird partner provides H2 outlook

Good morning, Hubsters. MK Flynn here with the Wire.

Today, there’s a new kid on the block. We’ll take a look at an investment firm that launched earlier this morning.

And we’ve got the latest in our series of H2 Outlook pieces – this time from a recently promoted partner from Baird Capital.

Finally, check out our Dealmakers to Watch profiles, like the latest one on Jeff Aiello, who founded a new firm earlier this year.

Let’s get right to those stories.

More deals to get done

Baird Capital sees the US as an excellent source of long-term growth for founder-run UK companies while their domestic market remains subdued, Louise Kingston, partner, told reporter Nina Lindholm in the latest of our outlook pieces for the second half of 2024.

Kingston, whom Baird promoted to partner in July, is part of the global portfolio operations team. She is based in London.

Check out these profiles from the series:

• Renovus Capital’s new principal Gary Tang eyes opportunities in healthcare services

• Keeping up with David Brisske, SKKY’s managing director

• Core’s John May: Lower-mid market is highly attractive

Coming up

This week, Wednesday may prove a pivotal day, especially in the public markets, as the consumer price index report for July will come out. PE Hub’s consumer sector reporter Rafael Canton writes the Wire on Wednesdays so be sure to tune in for private equity dealmaking insights on the sector.

Tomorrow, I’ll be filling in on the Wire for Craig McGalshan, who has the rest of the week off.

Happy dealmaking,

MK
