Googleās AI detection tool is now available for anyone to try | Too bad, students ā no more last-minute AI essays
| At a time when AI-generated content is under tremendous scrutiny, Google has released a tool that detects anything written by AI. SynthID is now an open-source watermarking tool that developers and businesses can use to identify AI-created content. By analyzing specific tokens within the text, SynthID can tell whether an artificial intelligence wrote the sentence or not. Of course, the system isn't 100% accurate. It can be fooled if someone runs the sentence through a translation program or if it's rewritten by a significant amount, but it's still a step in the right direction ā especially for combating AI-made content in contexts it isn't allowed. | |

Image: Joe Maring / Digital Trends | The Galaxy Ring 2 could fix the biggest problem with the device | Adjustable rings could be the future of wearables | A patent filed by Samsung suggests that a new type of adjustable smart ring could be in development. Based on the patent, the ring would have segmented interior sections that would allow it to fit more snugly against the finger while also expanding as needed. This would, in theory, provide better tracking while reducing the number of different SKUs Samsung would need for future entries in the Galaxy Ring lineup. The patent was filed at the end of last year, so with any luck Samsung wil find a way to implement it before the launch of the Galaxy Ring 2. | |
