(March 11, 2016) - Have you ever heard someone refer to their "bucket list"? It is a phrase that has become ubiquitous in the past 10 years from everyday life to Hollywood movies to the travel and tourism industry. In short, the term "bucket list" simply represents all the things you want to do or accomplish before you die. Or in slang terms, it is the things you want to do or accomplish before you "kick the bucket."

Grist: Is a tiny house just an RV in disguise?

(March 11, 2016) - I'm kind of fascinated by the tiny house movement because they're cute. But if they're on wheels, I really don't see why people don't just buy a trailer (I guess toxic building materials may be an issue). What is the resource impact of a tiny house when they don't have to meet basic energy codes for insulation, windows, etc.?

(March 11, 2016) - Take this past weekend, for instance. I thought I'd do a good deed by taking my daughter Heather and my wife Regina on a weekend camping trip to the mountains. Of course I had a "minuscule" ulterior motive, however, and that was to take my small pop-up camper to the Kiamichi Mountains of southeast Oklahoma and leave it for a scheduled turkey hunt there in April. It's on private land, so it should be safe. Or so I once thought!
