The highest daily rise in Scottish Covid-19 cases ever

Nicola Sturgeon has announced 806 new positive coronavirus results have been recorded in Scotland - the highest daily total ever.

The First Minister says the 'particularly high number' of cases recorded yesterday may partly be down to a delay in results from the weekend.

The majority of people testing positive in Scotland are in the under-40 age group and the bulk of those are among under 25s. Follow our LIVE blog here for the latest developments.
