Things turned really bad really quick late this morning and the Storm Prediction Center says a tornado watch poses a "particularly dangerous situation." Rotating storms have already prompted a number of tornado warnings, and a storm at New Iberia damaged homes and hit a hospital.
There's been another homicide at a Baton Rouge motel. Today's was at a FairBridge Inn Express off South Sherwood Forest Boulevard.
The East Baton Rouge Metro Council meets tonight. At its budget meeting last night, members approved additional money to address stormwater issues and also gave a thumbs-up to pay raises for many city-parish workers. |
