One of the highlights of the offer was Alvar Aalto’s famous ‘Paimio’ chair, which changed hands for a hammer price of €9,000. The lamps by Paavo Tynell achieved outstanding results across all lots. The charming ‘Piparkakku’ wall light climbed from an estimated €1,200 – 2,000 to €4,800, while the pair of ceiling lights, which were originally used to light the United Paper Mills, changed hands for €7,000.
