It's hard to believe, but the war in Israel has now stretched for 150 days, with no clear end in sight. This weekend was particularly difficult for our nation, as we mourn the loss of 3 IDF soldiers and grapple with the wounding of 14 others in a tragic incident in southern Gaza. Israeli troops, anticipating a confrontation with terrorists within a two-story building, were met instead with a series of deadly booby traps. The encounter resulted in immediate casualties and serious injuries among our soldiers. In response, an Israeli combat helicopter was dispatched, identifying and engaging terrorists in the vicinity. Adding to the weekend's turmoil, the northern region of Israel faced its own crisis earlier today. An anti-tank missile launched toward Margaliot resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries, ranging from serious to light. This attack is a stark reminder of the constant threat looming over our citizens and soldiers alike. In these trying times, the role of Zaka Tel-Aviv has never been more critical. Our volunteers are providing immediate medical assistance, supporting the wounded, and ensuring the dignified care of the fallen. The challenges we face are immense, but our commitment to saving lives and offering solace remains unwavering. |
