On October 19 around 2:45 a.m., police received a call from witnesses reporting an unoccupied vehicle was stuck and unoccupied on the railroad tracks just west of Ohio 83. An eastbound train struck the Subaru Outback at 02:49 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was located moments after and was arrested for drunk driving and failure to control. No one was injured as a result of the train colliding with the Subaru and sending it back onto SR 83, temporarily closing the northbound lane for several hours. |
