Editor's Notes Think Pittsburgh history, and steel may be the first thing that comes to mind. But the Western Pennsylvania city has deep roots in vaccine research, as well. Have you ever had polio? Well, you can thank the University of Pittsburgh that the answer is no. This history is on the minds of many in the city's life sciences community as they work to create a vaccine for COVID-19.
