When we think about evangelism, our minds often turn to atheists or perhaps people of other faiths. We wonder how to reach people who have major objections to Christian beliefs.
But the truth is that the far larger mission field, at least in America, is made up of nominal (name-only) Christians. These are folks that pastor Dean Inserra calls “unsaved Christians.” They identify as believers, tear up when they sing “God Bless America,” and even come to church on Christmas and Easter—all while having no authentic faith in Christ.
How do you reach those people? Inserra provides an excellent primer in this article: “To Reach Unsaved Christians, First Help Them Get Lost.” Also, be sure to check out our Transforming Nominal Christians assessment pack. This resource will help you diagnose the spiritual commitment of your congregants and equip you to guide them deeper in the faith.

In the included assessments, you'll explore the essence of spiritual maturity, the expectations you should communicate to members, the influence of church leaders, and more. by John Ortberg, Eric Reed, Helen Lee, and more Read More
Reaching People How should your leaders respond to the increasingly secular world around them?
