TRB Webinar: How to guide alternative contracting projects Alternative contracting projects require significant procedural and cultural changes on the part of highway agencies. TRB is hosting a webinar on Thursday, March 26, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern that will address these changes. Learn about the tools of the trade for agencies that vary depending on the phase of project development, the specific task, the project complexity, and project size. The presenters will offer strategies and tools for contract administration of alternative contracting method projects. They will also discuss how these contracts differ from administration of traditional projects. This webinar draws on research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Research Report 939: Guidebooks for Post-Award Contract Administration for Highway Projects Delivered Using Alternative Contracting Methods, Volume 1: DesignBuild Delivery.
