| The Holiday Season Begins at Lansdowne on November 30 The 3rd annual lighting of the Lansdowne Christmas Tree will take place on Friday, November 30th at 6:00 p.m.! We invite you, your friends & family to get into the holiday spirit at the most magical event of the year. All are welcome so start the season right with complementary hot chocolate and cider! Special guests include Christmas carolers, REDBLACKS mascot Big Joe Ho Ho and his friends Sparky and Riley Raccoon, players from TD Place sports teams, the REDBLACKS Cheer and Dance team and, rumour has it, Santa Claus. Starting next year, Aberdeen Square will be home to the Ottawa Christmas Market, which will be modelled on the Christmas markets of Europe, said Mark Goudie, OSEGs President and Chief Executive Officer. Well have a taste of that this season on Saturdays and Sundays and visitors are encouraged to check it out. Lansdowne is the home of the Ottawa Christmas Market, coming in 2019.
