Of all the tropical systems out there today, the one posing the greatest risk to Louisiana now is one poised to move into Caribbean sometime in the next few days. There's no cause for general alarm, but forecasters say this one deserves some attention. Baton Rouge Police have called a news conference for tomorrow to discuss, with the mayor, recent crime in the city. Sure to come up is last week's killing of Allison Rice as she apparently turned around at the train tracks on Government Street. The mayor and police chief have had a lot of these joint appearances after high-profile crimes. The CATS worker who had his private medical information leaked this year has now been fired by the bus system. CATS confirmed today that it had terminated the employee. His lawyer says he's exploring all options when looking at what to do next. And this week we welcome Matt Bruce to The Advocate newsroom. He'll cover all things courts.
