View in browser October 28, 2020 If you listen closely to the Trump administration's pandemic rhetoric, you might hear some familiar echoes of another great American failure: Our ill-fated, so-called War on Terror. Hayes Brown helps point out how one phrase in particular, "rounding the corner," is reminiscent of when the U.S. began losing that long fight. And just like back then, the more America loses to the coronavirus (already more lives than in both Iraq and Afghanistan) the more the administration digs in its heels and insists that the country is winning when it comes to Covid-19 — rounding the corner, in fact.
