TOP OF THE AGENDA | Trump says Israel has agreed to conditions for 60-day Gaza ceasefire |
| | Neither Israel nor Hamas have commented on Trump's announcement. Credit: Reuters | Israel has agreed to the "necessary conditions" to finalise a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, US President Donald Trump has said, without giving further details. Israel has not confirmed this and there has been no comment from Hamas. In a social media post, the US president urged Hamas to take "this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE". A previous ceasefire collapsed in March when Israel resumed strikes on Gaza. The two sides are struggling to come to an agreement due to their differing demands. Israel says the war can only end when Hamas has been completely dismantled. Hamas has long called for a permanent truce and a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. |

| BEYOND THE HEADLINES | Is RFK Jr's plan to Make America Healthy Again fearmongering or revolutionary? |
| | | RFK Jr has made it his mission to tackle what he describes as an epidemic of chronic illness in America. Credit: Reuters | As US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr is the most powerful public health official in the US. While some experts applaud his focus on healthcare areas that have long been neglected, others fear that his own views and biases will mean some of the solutions he's reaching for will not be backed up by solid scientific evidence. |
