Charleston updating city plan, seeks input

Each municipality must undertake a comprehensive planning process every 10 years; Charleston is focusing its efforts on 10 specific areas: population, economic development, natural resources, cultural resources, community facilities, housing, land use, transportation, priority investment and resilience.

Aldi to open 4th area store in North Charleston

The store on Rivers Avenue, set to open Thursday, is part of a $5 billion expansion plan the grocery chain is undertaking to become the third-largest grocery retailer by 2022. The company also has one location in Mount Pleasant and two stores in Summerville.
