Van upfit company to expand Ladson operations

Driverge Vehicle Innovations, a commercial van upfit company that specializes in wheelchair transportation and accessible taxis, plans to expand its Charleston County operations and create more than a dozen jobs.

As the CMA CGM Brazil, the largest ship ever to dock at the Port of Charleston, arrived Sunday, onlookers lined the Cooper River Bridge, Memorial Waterfront Park and places in between in Mount Pleasant to get a view of the ship as tugboats and other vessels watching the containership swirled around it.

On the Menu

Braised in the South will open its first brick-and-mortar location at 11 a.m. Sunday at 3338 Maybank Highway on Johns Island. The menu includes items previously served at the food truck, plus new additions including ice cream.
