I love getting older :) Not that it doesn’t surprise me, at times, but the whole wisdom and perspective thing is awesome.
My thought of the month, although not necessarily original, is realizing that I’ve spent most of my life getting ready for my life, not realizing that those years were my life! How funny, if not a little sad, to perpetually think “one day,” I will make it, achieve it, and live it, as the days… just… tick… on… by….
Even more ironically, whatever successes I had achieved in life, only caused me to raise the bar, keeping my “life” just out of reach.
Happily, I’m not too old to see this now and to cash in on some of that wisdom. To begin enjoying my life, even as I continue stretching to become more. I hope this helps you do the same.

Don’t think, “I’d be happier if things were better.” That’s the trap. “The time of your life!” is not dictated by circumstances, but by your chosen frame of mind.
