Convergent Design | Veset | Ooyala| Imagen | Harmonic | Emotion Systems | |
Convergent Design announces the Element series of multi-camera video recorders and switchers. The Element series are simple to use, cost-effective products that emphasize fast video productions by eliminating many time-consuming steps and enabling features such as network media access, simple keying and tactile control surfaces. By routing all camera feeds to a single multi-channel recorder, many of the mundane (and time-consuming) tasks such as copying multiple media cards, renaming video clips, re-syncing timecode, transcoding to a common edit-ready CODEC, and aligning, are eliminated. Element can transfer video clips over Gigabit Ethernet. Once shooting is complete, the footage is immediately ready for editing, providing access to all video clips. All-in-one true cloud playout
More than 500 million households worldwide can watch channels created by Veset Nimbus, the true cloud playout. A new Nimbus feature for NAB will be full integration with Zixi-enabled broadcast-grade IP video delivery, end-to-end solution from IP live feed contribution to distribution of linear feeds worldwide. Aging SDI and GPU-dependant playout hardware are often presented as “cloud-enabled” solutions, which is more often than not smoke and mirror marketing gimmickry. Nimbus has been specifically built from the ground up as a professional, efficient and future-proof SaaS platform for channel creation that leverages the maximum benefits of the cloud computing.
