May is Jewish American Heritage Month, and I’m continuously struck by the ways in which the Forward’s story is the story of American Jews. Since our launch 125 years ago, the Forward grew from a tiny publication to become a staple of the American media landscape — not unlike the American Jewish community itself.
Just like it’s impossible to imagine America without Jews, I can’t imagine American journalism without the Forward. But independent journalism comes at a cost. |
To maintain our freedom, the Forward relies on support from readers like you. |
In order to maintain our independence while continuing to make sure that critical coverage (like our reporting on the war in Ukraine) can stay outside our paywall and accessible to everyone, we rely on support from readers like you.
When you donate to the Forward, you show your support for reliable reporting and intelligent analysis through a Jewish lens. For 125 years, we’ve been bringing you journalism of the highest caliber based on rigorous research, meticulous editing, and a passion for truth — that’s why you trust us, and that’s why your support is so important. |
If you believe, as I do, that now is the time to invest in fearless, honest, independent Jewish journalism, join me in making a gift to the Forward in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month. We’re honored to be an American Jewish institution — help us stay that way. Sincerely, |
Samuel Norich, President, Board of Directors The Forward P.S. History is worth celebrating, but we’re always looking toward the future. We recently launched a brand-new website. Have you checked it out?
