Two weeks after explosion, Dow still 'essential personnel only'

It's been more than two weeks since a massive explosion at Dow's plant near Plaquemine, and the huge facility is still in "essential personnel only" mode. 

Here's what's going on inside the plant, and what we know so far about how bad the chemical release was. 


Livingston Parish has settled a lawsuit filed by a developer who had argued parish leaders were unfairly attempting to block a 2,000 lot subdivision. 

Here's what that means for the parish, and the ongoing battles over zoning, traffic, and other issues caused by the parish's rapid growth. 


A team of masked burglars rammed a stolen pickup truck into a gun store, shattering the front entrance and allowing them to scramble in and steal armloads of weapons.
