| | An immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire with Russia would allow for negotiations to end the three-year war to begin. Credit: Reuters | Ukraine has agreed to an American proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia after a day of talks between negotiators in Saudi Arabia. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters "the ball is in the [Russians'] court", and he will take the offer to Moscow. Washington will also immediately restore military assistance and intelligence sharing to Ukraine. Rubio said a minerals deal between the US and the Ukraine was not the subject of the talks. |
