voornaam —

With Earth Day nearly over, I wanted to remind you of just some of the reasons we're fighting so hard, day-in, day-out:

  • The permit issued by the Trump administration for TransCanada to build the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline
  • Efforts to open our precious, iconic public lands and wild spaces to drilling and mining
  • Approvals given for seismic testing — deadly to marine wildlife and a precursor to offshore drilling
  • The delisting of gray wolves and the gutting of the Endangered Species Act

We're so close to our $300,000 goal to help fund our efforts to stop an administration and corporate lobbyists that are racing to undo decades of environmental protections. Our only hope for stopping their plans rests in your hands.

I need you with us, voornaam — we rarely get a match like this. Respond by midnight and you'll unlock an extra $150 to support our work on Capitol Hill and across the U.S., up to $300,000. That's an incredible impact to fight anti-environment forces stacked against us.

Make a monthly gift of $5 or more to the Sierra Club for an additional $150 match: help protect our natural treasures from the Trump administration and anti-environment forces. And remember, you'll get our Insulated Cooler Tote Bag — FREE.

The Trump administration and anti-environment forces in the Senate are handing over our wild lands and wildlife to Big Polluters, the coal industry, climate deniers and anti-conservationists hell-bent on extracting and exploiting our natural treasures. They're leaving the people who will suffer most from the destruction of these lands unprotected from the loss of their natural heritage and the protections that keep their communities free of toxic pollution.

What are we doing to protect our communities and precious lands against such powerful interests?

We are resisting:

  • Unleashing the full force of our 3.5 million supporters, in local communities, at the state level and in the courts.
  • Resisting attempts to remove vital protections for gray wolves, grizzlies, sage grouse and other animals.
  • Leveraging the same smart organizing strategies that helped us retire 287 dirty coal power plants across the country, in both red states and blue states.
  • Working with city governments to get more cities to pledge 100-percent clean energy.
  • Pressuring state regulators to choose smart and affordable clean energy.
  • Working with the private sector to make them part of the solution.
  • Pushing individuals, banks, and institutions to divest from big oil and dirty coal.
  • Encouraging millions to go out and explore our parks and refuges, to cultivate a deep wonder and awe at our natural world.

But we can't continue this vital work without you.

I need you with us. Will you support our efforts to protect the wild lands and wildlife we love so deeply?

COUNT ME IN: I'm becoming a monthly donor today to fund Sierra Club's campaigns to protect our natural world from environmental assaults. Every new monthly donor will unlock an additional $150 match — but only through MIDNIGHT.

These are some of the greatest environmental fights of our lifetime. But they're also the most meaningful. We're bigger, stronger and more innovative than ever. I'm giving this everything I've got — and I know millions of you are doing the same.

Say you're with me, voornaam.

Thank you for all that you do,

Michael Brune
