In dozens of Facebook groups, some with tens of thousands of members, human smugglers promote their services, including posting prices to ferry migrants across the U.S. border and phone numbers to call. But instead of safe passage to America, many migrants encounter rape, violence and further extortion as the smuggling groups flourish.
