Dear Members,

First, we want to wish all of you a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! The Club will be closed on Thursday to allow our staff to celebrate with their families. We will re-open on Friday.

Speaking of Friday, skip the Black Friday shopping headache and come out to your Club for our all-day Iowa vs. Nebraska Game Watch Party. We'll have Happy Hour food and drink specials running all day in the Terrace Room and every TV tuned to the Hawkeyes as they take on the Huskers at 2:30 pm. Stick around after the football game to catch college hoops action as Iowa takes on the Virginia Cavaliers at 6 pm.

You can only eat so many leftover turkey sandwiches, so plan to join us for the Sunday Brunch Buffet this Sunday, November 27 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. We'll have brunch favorites and new creations along with specials on Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Please call 285-0101 or email RSVP@echovalleycc.com to reserve a table for your group.

Gentlemen, November concludes with a special treat for you. Come out for our Men's Whiskey Night on Wednesday, November 30 to learn from a whiskey expert and to sample a variety of premium whiskies paired with several delicious courses from our chefs. RSVP via email or by calling 285-0101 by this Sunday.

Finally, we're excited to announce that we're throwing you a Holiday Happy Hour on Friday, December 2, featuring live music from Brian Congdon, an ugly sweater contest and the opportunity to help a worthy cause, the Children and Family Urban Movement. CFUM is a local non-profit organization based in the River Bend and King/Irving areas of Des Moines which supports the potential of children, youth and families through educational success, healthy living, and community engagement with a particular emphasis on literacy programs. We will be accepting donations of books for elementary school reading levels, back packs, yoga mats, and cash or check on behalf of CFUM.
