Book Release Event: The Pivot: One Pandemic, One University Monday, Nov 7, 5 - 6:30 pm *IN-PERSON* Perkins 217 Join Duke Libraries for a special book release event and panel discussion celebrating the publication of The Pivot: One Pandemic, One University, detailing how Duke University shifted everything to meet the challenges of the pandemic head-on. The author, Robert J. Bliwise, will be joined by three Duke faculty members profiled in thebook, who will discuss teaching during the pandemic and lessons learned. Panelists include Thomas J. Ferraro (Professor of English), Omid Safi (Professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies), and Kristin Goss (Professor of Public Policy). |

Add Interactivity to Panopto Videos with PlayPosit Tuesday, Nov 8, 2 - 3 pm pm Do you use Panopto or Warpwire at Duke to teach with video? Are you working with instructors to record videos? Duke Learning Innovation is working with PlayPosit to enhance your hybrid and online teaching through easy-to-produce video modules. In this session you will learn how to repurpose existing content for a new use in your course (e.g. broadcast it!), reuse video content already created and upcycle (modify and embellish) the resulting learning objects you’ve established to scale your impact and engage your learners. |
