Improving Airport Curbside and Roadway Operations

Private vehicles, rental cars, taxicabs, ridehailing drivers, buses, and service and delivery vehicles are all navigating airport terminal roadways and curbsides. The high proportion of motorists who are unfamiliar with airport layouts and procedures complicate their operating characteristics. This webinar will review guidelines for estimating airport roadway requirements and capacities, introduce recommended performance measures and analytical methods, and highlight innovative strategies to manage traffic demand and reduce congestion in terminal area and curbside operations.
