| Dear Friend, When large tech companies remain gatekeepers of the internet, it threatens our access to alternatives, including more secure, privacy-minded options. Without new laws in the US where many of these companies are based, organizations like Mozilla can’t easily reach people like you and me. Because of supporters like you, Mozilla’s open letter demanding that Congress pass the American Innovation and Choice Online Act (AICOA) got into the pages of the Washington Post this summer. Our letter drew positive attention to this bill, but Congress has yet to act. That’s why we have joined like-minded privacy companies signing onto a letter that urges Members of Congress to vote in favor of AICOA. Our goal is to make sure the vote gets scheduled and passes. This is where you come in. Congressional leadership often responds to public pressure when deciding which votes will get scheduled, especially when time is tight before a Congressional recess. Can you take a couple of minutes to tweet your support? With enough pressure, we think we can get Congress to take action and put this crucial bill to a vote. Tweet Now Thanks for your support, Mozilla | |
