Next week all providers registered with CQC will be able to create an account on our new provider portal. We'd previously advised that our new portal would be available for all providers from 27 February. To ensure we give providers the best experience we are moving our launch date to 11 March From 11 March if you have a role registered with CQC you can use your email address associated with your CQC registration to create an account on our new portal. Our new portal will offer a better experience when submitting statutory notifications and completing some registration actions. Until 11 March you can continue using our existing provider portal and submitting notifications via email. Here's what to do to get ready for these changes: Make sure all the contact details we hold for your organisation are correct (you'll need to sign up to the new portal using an email address we have on record) Watch the introduction to our new provider portal On 11 March, our existing provider portal will become read-only. That means you won't be able to use the portal to make changes or send us new information. You will still be able to access and download your saved data until the end of March 2024. Please note: the existing portal will be unavailable from 6pm on Friday 8 March until 9am Monday 11 March. From this point it will be read-only. It's important that registered managers in the same provider don't use a shared email address to create their provider portal account. Previously, we allowed people to use shared email addresses for portaluser accounts. To increase security for all users and to maintain confidentiality, we can no longer allow this. Each user must use a unique email address on our new provider portal. New provide portal accounts will synchronise with our registration data. Because of this, emails such as info@carehome.com, utilised by multiple registered managers at a provider will now be restricted to one user on the portal. This adjustment ensures that each user has a unique login credential, enhancing security and accountability within the CQC's systems. Registered managers currently sharing an email address should change to a unique email address and notify us as soon as possible. To update us you will need to submit a Changes to registered details: change contact details notification form The next step in our journey will involve implementing our new registration process and introducing more functionality on the new online provider portal. From 11 March, all providers will be able to use the provider portal for new provider registrations, new registered managers, and cancellations. All applications to make a variation will be done through updated forms by email. Please refer to the website to make sure you have the most current forms, we will update there to confirm when it is ready. From March 11 we will not be accepting any old forms and all guidance on our website will have new forms you should be using. If you have started an application on our old provider portal, we advise that you submit by Friday or wait until the new process is in place. We are continuing to process all applications, if you have an application submitted it will still be assessed. |
