Hi Folks, As you read this I should be on my way back to the US. I have probably overstayed my time on the field, but as you know, I felt like I had to keep at it. I hope you understand why. I’m so very, very grateful to those who are asking how to pray! Let me try to answer a few of your questions. First, regarding my immediate medical condition: I recently went back for another MRI in regards to the skull fracture. The doctors are concerned because of the head injuries I’ve had in the past, so I’ll be under close observation for some time to come. The biggest related challenge right now is that it’s very hard to sleep because of the pain, so I very much appreciate your continued prayers. As I mentioned before, I stopped taking the blood thinners, and opted not to do the transfusions. The good news is that I’m no longer coughing up nearly as much blood now. I believe the Lord has touched me with a supernatural healing. Thank you again for continuing to activate church groups, small groups, and cell groups that I know are keeping me in prayer. I believe that’s literally the only thing that has kept me out here and kept me going. Your encouragement in those areas has meant more than I can ever explain. As far as the hospital bills, there are several folks that have stepped up to cover costs not covered by my insurance. Hopefully that will all be taken care of by the end of the year. Again, I am so grateful. I’ll be calling as many of you as I can by the end of the year to say thank you personally, even right into Christmas Eve, where as many of you know, I return to the street corner where my mother left me. Lastly, many of you have asked how are we doing in these last days leading up to Christmas, and whether or not the needs for Operation Holiday Hope are being met. As far as the response that’s been coming in, I’ll know more when I get back into the office in Brooklyn and have a chance to go over the details. But if you haven’t had a chance to give yet, please press the button at the end of this email today, right now, because we are now just weeks away and every single gift counts. If there are people you haven’t connected with yet or who haven’t heard, or friends who haven’t had a chance to help yet, please do whatever it takes to reach out to them. We still need all the help you can muster up to reach these kids now. We don’t have that much time left. I will probably send you one more email just before Christmas to keep you up to speed. But for now, I just wanted to say again, thank you. I pray all of you have such a great and meaningful Thanksgiving. After I’d been shot, I knew I would be the first in line to say THANK YOU LORD FOR SPARING MY LIFE. And likewise, I want to say thank you to you for being my friend. You know I didn’t have many friends when I was young. The Lord has blessed me with amazing friends like you guys. This Thanksgiving, the Lord has definitely given me a lot to be thankful for. Again, if you have any questions, comments, ideas, information needed, let me know. It’s that time---just a couple more weeks and we’re there. Thanks for all you have done and for all you continue to do, and I mean that most sincerely. Thank you, thank you, thank you. God Bless, Pastor Bill |
