Important updates to the upcoming Celebrity Series Season

On May 8, 2020, New England Conservatory (NEC) announced that Jordan Hall, the Plimpton Shattuck Black Box, and all of their performances and rehearsal facilities are closed to all outside renters for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

Originally, the Celebrity Series had sixteen performances scheduled at NEC. While the majority of them had to be canceled for the Fall, we were able to relocate and reschedule four performances. Click here for a full list of cancellations.

Pianist Sir András Schiff's recital has been relocated to Symphony Hall and will still take place on March 7 at 7:30 PM. The Dreamers' Circus concert on April 17 at 8 PM and cellist Alisa Weilerstein's recital on April 24 at 8 PM will both take place at Longy's Pickman Hall. Additionally, Alisa Weilerstein will perform a solo recital instead of an ensemble performance.

The Emerson String Quartet will return to the Celebrity Series in the 2021-2022 Season.

Please note these important updates to the upcoming season. As the Celebrity Series receives updates, we will continue to keep you informed about changes to our events. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue exploring the wide array of performances in the 2020-2021 Season.

In order to provide our patrons with the most flexible options and peace of mind, Celebrity Series has adopted a new temporary refund policy for subscribers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy is in effect through December 31, 2020, and is subject to revision based on the recommendations of local and national health officials. By noon of the last business day before a performance, subscribers may request a full refund of the cost of tickets for that performance, even if that performance proceeds normally.
