| Tillery and Narrows Hydro Stations

The 84-MW Tillery facility is part of the Yadkin-Pee Dee Hydro Project on the Yadkin-Pee Dee River in central North Carolina. Tillery's primary purpose is to provide peaking and load-following generation for Duke Energy. The 108.8-MW Narrows hydro plant on the Yadkin River was built by Alcoa to power its aluminum smelters. | Cowans Ford Hydro Station

The 350-MW Cowans Ford hydro station in Huntersville, North Carolina, is the largest conventional hydro plant Duke Energy owns. Cowans Ford Dam created Lake Norman, the largest man-made body of fresh water in North Carolina.
