Upstate counties count most COVID deaths during surge

Two Upstate counties counted the highest number of overall COVID-19 deaths in the state, while Pickens County had the most cases since March 2020, according to a recent report. Prisma Health is stepping in to open hospital beds with regional response units.

Furman launches new fund to support athletics

The Furman University Office of Development and athletics program are launching the Furman Athletics Fund to replace its existing Paladin Club. The university said the change is designed to broaden donor recognition and enhance financial support for the school’s athletics programs.
