An American man has leaked details on the Web about individuals who have been diagnosed with HIV in Singapore, having apparently having obtained the information from a man with who he had a relationship. Chinese telecoms equipment provider Huawei has been hit with criminal charges by the US, with the indictments being unveiled on Monday, the first day after a government shutdown, and just a couple of days before the US and China resume talks on a trade dispute. Smartphone shipments to China stood at 396 million units in 2018 or a 14% drop from 2017, their lowest levels since 2013, with the latest quarter marking a 15% year-on-year drop and the seventh straight quarter of declines. Meanwhile, Apple continues to lead the premium smartphone market — defined as devices priced above US$400 — followed by Samsung, according to figures for 2018 from the analyst firm Counterpoint Research.
