US stocks climbed at the start of a short Christmas Eve trading session, building on finishes near record highs the day before.U.S. stock indexes inched higher Thursday morning in a holiday-shortened session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 62 points, or 0.2%, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.21% and 0.22%, respectively. All three of the major averages finished within 1% of record highs on Wednesday.  Stock markets will close at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday in observance of Christmas Eve and will remain closed Friday for Christmas.
