Situational Analysis - Nov. 24, 2020

Welcome to Tuesday. Here's something to be really grateful for: You don't live in Georgia, where several hundred million dollars are being spent on nasty attack ads.

By LaVarr Webb
Since it's nearly Thanksgiving, I'm grateful that Pres. Trump has ordered the General Services Administration to work with the incoming Biden administration in an orderly transition. But the transition intransigence was getting really old and it was past time for Trump to relent.

By Staff
This article is for real policy wonks. The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah has published a paper outlining how Utah divides into economic regions. It may not be terribly exciting for politicos obsessed with horserace election politics, but understanding economic and travel patterns, among other things, can help policymakers make the right decisions regarding planning, budgeting, transportation and other matters.
