Housing nonprofits receive $475K from TD Bank Crossroads Rhode Island and Sojourner House, both nonprofits dedicated to housing, have received $425,000 from TD Bank. Sojourner House's $250,000 grant will be matched by federal funding and support its permanent housing program, while Crossroads' $175,000 will help prevent people from becoming homeless. Fed officials discuss the latest on inflation in 2024 The economy appears to be cooling slowly, according to Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic, noting that "my outlook is that inflation will continue to fall for this year and into 2025." Meanwhile, Michael Barr, Fed vice chair for supervision, said that inflation numbers were "disappointing" in the first few months of the year and that they "did not provide me with the increased confidence that I was hoping to find to support easing monetary policy."
