Hey there. Welcome to the WardsAuto Dealer 5 for Wednesday, March 8. To start the day off, we've put together items from WardsAuto.com and across the Internet. So let's go:
1.
Sweet dreams. A new product lets dealers sell cars in their sleep. Here’s how it works. And click here to register for a free WardsAuto webinar on it at 2 p.m. (ET) tomorrow.
“I switched all of my stores to Reynolds. Many people base their decision on price, but I did my own needs analysis focused on the product and the retail process and Reynolds and Reynolds blew the competition away.” -Joe Laham, President of Premier Companies
BUY. SELL. SERVICE. REPEAT. Selling a car is no longer the end of the story. Cars.com connects you with consumers throughout the entire ownership lifecycle for trade-ins, service and—of course—selling cars. Visit NADA Booth 1572C to find out how we can help you drive more revenue to your dealership from mile one to mile done.
Cadillacs like the Coupe de Ville got mentioned in old songs (i.e. “Maybellene”). Does anyone trill about today’s CT6 or XT5? No, but the brand’s chief sings the praises of the new naming system.
This is how some people rap dealerships. It sounds as if the salesperson misspoke. (Never say "lowest," say dealership attorneys.) Still, a half-percent dealer reserve is not much. And calling it a “kickback”? Come on.
Dealers who advertise on TV should prepare to get shoved off the air. At least for a while. If it’s any consolation, it’s done in the name of democracy (and by office-seeking politicos).
That’s our WardsAuto Dealer 5 for today. We’ll be back soon with more high fives. Something else: Check out our F&I Resource Center sponsored by Ally. You'll find great info to boost profits in a vital department. And to reach the editor for whatever reason (i.e. comments, complaints, questions, directions), contact Steve Finlay at sfinlay@wardsauto.com . OK, finally... Forward this alert to dealership colleagues. The more in-the-know people at your place, the better it is. Over and out. Now for the legal stuff...
