Apple has updated its all-in-one iMac for the first time in 12 months, making it the first Mac to get Apple’s latest silicon chip, the M4, Digital Trends reported. As with the previous M1 and M3 iMacs, the M4 model is compatible with the tech giant’s AI-powered Apple Intelligence features, the first of which were rolled out on Monday. Notably, Apple said that compared to the M1 chip, the new M4 iMac handles photo editing and gaming 2.1 times faster, while its Neural Engine is up to three times faster. Apple has finally started to roll out the first AI-powered Apple Intelligence features to compatible devices, including the new iPhone 16 range and last year’s iPhone 15 Pro phones, Digital Trends reported. They include Writing Tools for rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text; a more natural and capable Siri; notification summaries; a smarter Photos app; and priority messages in Mail.
