Positive Growth

While COVID-19 made traditional face-to-face support impossible for a while, a positive outcome from this was that we learned to connect with others with similar needs online, through various online platforms.

While it won't ever replace the intimacy of face-to-face support, online support groups are definitely here to stay because they make groups accessible to people who live all over the country, but share a particular focus.

That is why CANSA and Netcare decided to launch a monthly virtual support group in June this year, discussing various topics that affect cancer patients, loved ones and caregivers, and putting the public in touch with experts on these topics.

We'd like to invite you to the next support group meeting, and in future you can keep an eye out here for upcoming events here:

Join us on Saturday, 23 Oct 2021 from 10:00 – 11:30 for our next online meeting. Cancer patients & caregivers welcome. If you are joined by others please adhere to Covid-19 regulations: wear masks, sanitise and social distance.
