Visa Network Will Settle Transactions In Crypto, First Use Case USD Stablecoin

Bridging digital and fiat currencies is key to Visa’s “network of networks” strategies. Today, it announced that it will settle in cryptocurrencies over the Ethereum blockchain on the Visa network. Visa’s Vice President and Head of Crypto Cuy Sheffield told PYMNTS’ Karen Webster that the first use case will be the dollar-denominated USD stablecoin.
