Message from Mike Norman, CEO |
Kentucky Science Center is open every weekend for you and your family to visit for a great day of educational fun. |
| The past several weeks have been steamy, so take a break from the weather and visit our three levels of Science Technology Education Art and Math (STEAM) exhibits- including our newest exhibit prototype Uniquely Human: Feelings. This is the second prototype of what will become a new permanent exhibit and community engagement program. After time in our exhibits, I strongly encourage you to dive into Australia’s Great Barrier Reef for a journey with Bungee in our 4-story digital theater. Our feature film Turtle Odyssey will take you on a journey with sea turtles as scientists help save the species population. |
Kentucky Science Center is following all national and local guidelines by requiring masks throughout your visit, pre-registered admissions to minimize the number of guests, social distancing measures, and continuous sanitation protocols of exhibits and theater seating. Conclude your visit in our gift shop where you can find fun, educational resources to take home with you as you prepare to begin the new school year. If you’re not able to visit us in person, follow our social media channels for Do Science at Home activities and order items from our online gift shop. I hope to see you this weekend! Kentucky Science Center is open! |
| The COVID-19 Pandemic is hard on everyone, and we thank you for your patience while we finalized our plans to keep our staff, members, and guests safe. KSC is now open to members and the general public only on Saturday and Sunday (9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), to allow Summer Camp to use the building Monday through Friday. We hope to expand on this in the near future. Due to limited capacity, all guests will be required to make reservations in advance. If you run into any issues when trying to reserve tickets, please email us. |
We are also excited to premiere Turtle Odyssey in our four-story Digital Theater. Tickets should be purchased in advance and are $6 for members and $8 for non-members. Watch the Turtle Odyssey trailer here. |

Kentucky Science Center will require masks upon entry for guests 6 years of age and older. While in the building, please stay with your travel group and maintain social distancing guidelines of 6 feet spacing from other groups. If you are unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons, please maintain social distancing of 6 feet from all guests. Before your visit, please read our full COVID-19 procedures and pre-screening questions. Parking: The KSC Parking Lot is open to the public. Due to MSD construction, a temporary entrance is in place on Washington Street between 7th and 8th Street. Please exit via the normal 8th Street exit. You will then have to proceed down Washington to 9th Street. 8th Street is completely closed to vehicle traffic. We look forward to seeing you soon and Doing Science together! |

Turtle Odyssey |
| Sea turtles are some of Earth's most ancient and majestic creatures. For over 100 million years, they have traversed the seas, enduring mass extinctions and playing critical roles in maintaining food webs. But now they face a new threat – humans. It's time we learned more about these remarkable reptiles. Watch the trailer here. | |
