Hi John, It appears we got the Vocus story wrong about the KKR takeover bid this morning. Australian telco Vocus got in touch with iTWire to deny that it has turned down a $3.3 billion takeover from US equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. This is contrary to a report still circulating in the media but we need to set the record straight.
Both Android and iOS increased their share of most markets in the three months to April 2017, according to the latest smartphone OS data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. But the Galaxy S8 has failed to give Samsung a much needed boost after the Note7 debacle. Twitter has launched a new look for its service in what the company says is a complete refresh of its products to give users a better experience. WikiLeaks has released documents from the CIA that show the spy agency was, for years, building and maintaining tools to hack into commonly used routers. The dump is part of the Vault 7 series that the whistle-blowing site began releasing on 7 March. Organisations might not be doing the right things to achieve good IT security, and there are indications that they aren't all motivated by the right concerns. And of course, there's plenty more so for all the news visit www.itwire.com. Have a great day!
