Hey John,
In 1954, a group of local educators had the radical idea that high-quality media should be available to everyone in our community. Out of this vision, KQED was born.
Now, nearly 70 years later, we’re kicking off our February radio drive and raising funds to ensure KQED will be here for the next generation. To celebrate over six decades of being here for you, we’re bringing back our favorite KQED zip-up hoodie! Donate now to support the programs you love and get a sweatshirt of your own! |

As Executive Producer of On-Air Fundraising, I’ve had the privilege of hearing many members reflect on how KQED has impacted their lives over the years. KQED fans share memories of watching Mister Rogers as children; listening to KQED 88.5 FM on their daily commute to school and turning to Political Breakdown before casting their first vote.
Whether you’ve been a KQED supporter for decades or just discovered us this year, I am so grateful for your support of public media in our region. Right now, when you make your first donation to KQED, you can get this comfy KQED hoodie as a thank-you gift!
Here’s to many more decades of public media in the Bay Area! |
