Mermaids on deck: Bar reopens with signature attraction As the COVID-19 quarantine winds down, businesses around the country are starting to pick themselves up again in time for reopening. Of all the industries hit, the restaurant and bar industry may have suffered one of the largest impacts. But that’s not stopping owners and patrons from enjoying their services like they used to. Just ask the owners of the Sip ’n Dip Lounge in Montana, who are bringing back a beloved staple of their nightly festivities: mermaid shows. During the closure, there were fears that the signature performances would be gone for good. Thankfully, the bar owners have figured out a way to keep the show going while maintaining social distancing. From here on, there will only be one mermaid in the pool instead of two! If only adjusting the rest of our businesses were that easy! How long do the mermaid performers hold their breath for, anyway? Tap or click here to see a world record-holder hold their breath underwater. → |
