St. Mary’s hospital employees created a ‘wall of shame’ of patients with disabilities
Employees at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston created a “wall of shame” where they displayed confidential medical records of patients with disabilities detailing issues with their genitalia and bodily functions, according to an investigation by the Maine Human Rights Commission that found the exhibit had contributed to a hostile work environment.

Maine GOP will follow Democrats in holding a new presidential primary in 2020 The Maine Republican Party will hold a p residential primary in March as it looks to renominate President Donald Trump, following Democrats in using a new law allowing a move from party-run caucuses to the first nominating primaries here since 2000.

So far in her 6,000-mile journey Donna Wiegle of Swan's Island has seen the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. She’s been to Graceland, Gettysburg and Dodge City, and the brick house where she grew up in her tiny hometown of Skippack, Pennsylvania.
Wiegle has S tage IV ovarian cancer, and she has been told that she has about two years to live.

A fight over ‘fire cider’ pits Maine herbal folk traditions against Corporate America

Kathi Langelier is one of three herbalists being sued for trademark infringement by Shire City Herbals of Massachusetts, in a suit pitting local folk tradition against Corporate America that has dragged in the courts for five years. At stake is the right to use the name "fire cider" on their product, a folk remedy that contains apple cider vinegar, onions, garlic, hot peppers and horseradish.
