Walmart is ready to automate majority of stores, fulfillment centers
The news comes not long after Walmart dismissed hundreds of employees at online fulfillment facilities.
Walmart made store greeters visible decades ago, but in the next THREE years it might be hard to get even a “hello”. The retailer announced at its annual investor meeting in Tampa, Fla., that by 2026 approximately 65% of stores will be automated.

Dollar General is putting out new store layouts involving beauty, skin and hair care shopping options. Branded as "Beauty Reinvention," the new category brings simpler, easy-to-navigate beauty and personal care aisles. More than 1,000 supplementary beauty items will be added to the "Beauty Reinvention" stores in 2023.
