IMPORTANT NOTICES
Dental Clinic Car Park - Pick Up
Thank you to the parents who are patient after school in the Dental Clinic car park, it is very busy for 5 to 10 mins. Buses are the movement priority, as they are on a tight schedule, so they must get out ahead of cars which may need to wait a few minutes. Please do not get out of your car to collect children whilst you are blocking traffic. If drivers cooperate the process will be smoother for everyone. |

Mid Year Reporting Processes Thank you to everyone who took part in our surveys on Mid Year Reporting Processes. We have lots of information on which to base the next iteration of the process at the end of year. These are the links to the 3 different survey responses and graphs - Student - Teacher -Parent.
We are very pleased with the results and know that the majority of parents are supporting our 3-tiered approach to reporting. It may be that at the end of the year you choose all of the 3 parts of the reporting or just 2, depending on what information you glean from each session. For example this year we had some who chose not to come to the teacher/parent interviews as they felt they had all the info they needed.
The leadership team and NPDL team will be working to take this feedback, from the surveys, into account at their next meetings and come up with the next ways to improve our reporting to parents.
WPS Cross Country
The Cross Country last week was well supported by enthusiastic and very well behaved parents who cheered at the right places, kept socially distanced and stayed within the area set aside for parent spectators. Jason was busy clicking numbers and the maximum numbers that came to our parents area was 82 I believe. There were a couple of parents in masks who socially distanced as well, which is sensible. So well done to everybody for making this event do-able; those who chose not to come in the interest of keeping parent numbers down, those who came without their other half, those who only came for their child's event and then left and those who followed all of the safety protocols. With the sun, happy children, cheering parents and the positive atmosphere that was generated, it made all of us feel a bit of normality. Every single runner gave their all and tried their best. I felt so proud!

Wig Wednesday - Tomorrow Wig Wednesday is being held tomorrow, 9th September. We would love the children to come to school in their tribe colours and sporting a wacky hair-do or wonderous wig for the day. Please could we ask that they either bring a gold coin donation to support The Child Cancer Foundation or donate online at https://wigwednesday.everydayhero.com/nz/wanaka-primary-school.
The afternoon will be spent with our fabulous tribe leaders working on some wiggy wonderfulness :) |

If you wish to place an order, please follow the instructions on the inside back cover using Option 1 - Credit Card / LOOP. No cash/ orders are accepted at school. If your order is a gift, please tick the 'GIFT' option, otherwise all orders are handed out to the children.

Central Otago Sports Events Cancelled Until Level 1 Central Otago Sports Events are cancelled until we reach Level 1 under COVID restrictions. Therefore there is no Central Otago Cross Country next week. The next events planned are the Central Otago Orienteering and then Central Otago Triathlon in November. |

Auditions: song - dance - spoken word - photography People aged 8-18 years who are interested in singing, dance, spoken word or photography - you're invited to be part of "Deep Lake Voices" - a performance project funded by Three Lakes Cultural Trust to be performed at the RenewArt Showcase in Wanaka, 16th & 17th October. Wānaka Junior Touch - Term 4 Wānaka Junior Touch will be played in Term 4 2020 on Monday nights at Wānaka Show Grounds (Rugby Oval).
The focus will be on fun, participation, skill development, and learning the game. The format will be that the first 30 minutes will be a warm up and skills followed by one game of 14 minutes each way.
We welcome and need both sexes to enable this competition to happen.
Please also remember we have ‘’Sporting Chance’’ to enable all children to participate.
Season Start: Monday 12th October 2020 (being Week 1 of Term 4)
Season End: Monday 14th December 2020 (with one cancellation day the 21st December 2020)
Times: Between 4-6pm
