Joe Biden made it clear in his rabidly partisan gun control speech that he won't rest until he's ripped guns out of the waistbands of every American gun owner. But shockingly, Republicans in the U.S. Senate are about to give him the tools he needs to do it! As reported in The Hill, Senators Rick Scott (R-FL), Susan Collins (R-ME), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are flirting with supporting a California-style "Red Flag" Gun Confiscation bill. A national "Red Flag" law would DESTROY due process for law-abiding gun owners, allowing government goons to burst into your home and seize every firearm you own with ZERO warning. All it takes is an anti-gun neighbor or family member who's mad at you and willing to testify in a secret, "ex parte" hearing (where you're not present and can't defend yourself) that you shouldn't own guns. As if "Red Flag" laws weren't bad enough in the handful of blue states which have them, picture ATF federal thugs raiding your home Waco-style at 5 AM and taking your LEGAL guns all over a political Facebook post. This will do NOTHING to stop shootings. It'll be as effective as the "Gun Free Zone" signs killers and madmen look for when plotting their next shooting spree. The so-called "Universal Background Check" (NATIONAL GUN REGISTRATION) scheme gun grabbers want is nothing more than a precursor to full-scale gun confiscation and total civilian disarmament. Imagine a gun registration law COMBINED with a gun confiscation law in the hands of Joe Biden's out-of-control ATF. It's the Second Amendment's worst nightmare. That's why it's so shocking to see weak-kneed Republicans stumbling into line to cut a "deal" with Joe Biden and the 50 Senate Democrats. It means they're DANGEROUSLY close to having the 60-votes needed to ram it all through before the mid-term elections. The ONLY thing that will stop this gun control freight train is by turning up the pressure on Congress. That's why I hope you'll quickly sign your "NO GUN CONTROL" petitions, along with your most generous EMERGENCY contribution.
As soon as you sign, please chip in with an emergency contribution of $15 or $25 to help build our war chest for the upcoming fight. You see, more dangerous proposals could be coming any day now... and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has given his blessing for Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) to make compromises with Democrats on anti-gun legislation. Several new gun control proposals are being introduced, like Cory Booker's national gun licensing bill and Dianne Feinstein's renewed Federal "Assault Weapons" ban. Worse, pressure is mounting to "NUKE the Filibuster" so ALL gun control can pass with Kamala Harris as the tie-breaking vote. Even ratification of the UN "Small Arms Treaty" could be on the table. If something isn't done, we could be witnessing the Great Republican Gun Control Surrender, which, with the November elections coming, would be a DISASTER. We need to send a message loud-and-clear to Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell to HOLD THE LINE. And we also need to make sure vulnerable Senate Democrats know that voting for gun control could mark the end of their political careers in Washington. The future of our Second Amendment and our God-given right to keep and bear arms will all be determined by what happens in the next few days or weeks. But to win this fight, we must generate as many phone calls, emails, faxes, and petitions as possible right now. This is exactly the type of pressure National Association for Gun Rights' members used to defeat Obama's gun control push and every major national gun control effort since. That's why I hope you'll start by signing and returning your EMERGENCY "NO GUN CONTROL" petitions to your U.S. Senators right now and chipping in with an immediate donation of $15 or $25.
With time running out, our programs are running at full blast. We've dropped hard-hitting mail in all 50 states. We're running targeted online ads on 25 key Senators. We're frantically working the phone lines and meeting with Capitol Hill allies like it's the fight of our lives. The truth is, it is. I'm asking you to be a steadfast supporter of our organization, our programs, and our mission to defend and advance the Second Amendment.
